Faculty

The success of a Dance School depends heavily on the quality of its teachers, and Amy has carefully selected an experienced and capable Faculty who are talented, highly qualified and loyal. They share a wealth of knowledge about the dance and musical theatre world which ensures the children get the most gratifying learning experience. Many of the teachers are NDC graduates who understand and are part of the ethos and vision of the School, and together they preserve the “family atmosphere” that Northern Dance Centre is known for.
We teach the syllabi of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and the London Academy of Dramatic Art (LAMDA) following special teaching methods developed with the knowledge of children’s intellect and developmental stages. This allows children to progress at a rate to which they can safely understand, grow and improve. Teachers regularly attend continuing professional development courses to continuously refine and improve their teaching knowledge, and many are actively upgrading to the next teaching qualification level. They undergo regular First Aid and Safeguarding training and all have an enhanced DBS and Chaperone Licence for shows and events.
